Principal’s Remarks: “Dancing with the Chiefettes” was a lot of fun, Congratulations to Sandy Creek High School for winning the Football State Championship, Teachers appreciated the Holiday Cookies, Teachers are nervous about cuts/furloughs that will take place in February after the General Assembly meets, The county is looking in to the Fund Balance to help offset the cutbacks.

Committee Reports
Accident Avoidance Workshop: The next session is scheduled for Thursday, February 25th for the classroom portion and Sat and Sun (the 27 and 28) for the driving portions. Look for more information after the 1st of the year via constant contact to sign up
Appropriations: 26 teacher wishes were granted and 2 are waiting to be finalized
Bulletin Board: If you come across any news articles about McIntosh students, parents, projects, teachers, etc. please share them with Susan and Gail and they will be happy to put them up on the bulletin board. It is so difficult for them to read every article in every publishing so they would appreciate our help so much! Please place articles in an envelope w/"PTSO Bulletin Board" written on it and drop off at the front office, or have your student drop it off. They will take it from there!

Homecoming: No report
Hospitality: A huge "Thanks!" goes to all of the wonderful McIntosh parents who donated cookies and/or volunteered for the Teacher Appreciation Cookie Exchange!!! Thanks to your generosity and support, it was a great success, and the teachers and staff were so appreciative!! The next teacher luncheon is 28 Jan for English Dept (19 teachers). Already pre-paid by AJAKO & Club Z. Food needs to be coordinated.
Landscaping – Trees planted by clubs, courtyard essentially done, sidewalk still to be completed but is not considered a priority (service project?), stay tuned for Spring Clean- Up dates & times
Media Center: No report
Recycling: PTC Beautiful may be able to supply MHS with some bins; Student Club will buy additional recycling bins for around school, Newell Recycling will drop off a can wagon – the site has yet to be determined
Service Projects: No report.
School Store: No report
Spiritwear: The Christmas orders are in, if you are looking for stocking stuffers contact Jeanette at: barnhill@bellsouth.net
Student Club: The Brick Sale to landscape the courtyard is ongoing, 31+ bricks have been sold, contact Kathleen Oelberg at kathyoelberg@msn.com to order your personalized brick
Old Business
Night meeting: postponed.
Directory Distribution: ongoing – if you have paid your PTSO dues please pick up your directory, another reprinting will be needed after the holidays
Flag Pole lighting: The County will not pay the electricity expense to illuminate the US Flag on the stadium field, Solar lighting with a battery backup is being considered
New Business
A suggestion for a change counter to expedite adding the daily monies that come in was made.
Laser printer issues were discussed
