- Landscaping: The committee has been working very hard to prepare our campus for Homecoming. Spraying & putting down the Softscape is scheduled for today
- Media Center: Volunteers wanted to work with our wonderful media specialist, Karen Davis
- Recycling: Pratt Recycling wants our cardboard, the Student Club has said they want to purchase recycle bins for the school for the “McIntosh Goes Greener” campaign and the Environmental Club wants to help with the recycling effort.
- Service Projects: Waiting for a list of projects from which scouts, church youth groups & others may select to fulfill their service obligations and which help save the school and PTSO money
- School Store: Going great, more volunteers are welcome. Sale are about $100/day.
- Spiritwear: The September 3 order was made, pick-ups can be made in the café during lunch, Constant Contact will let you know when your order is in
- Student Club: Had originally opted to have the courtyard drainage problem resolved as their donation to MHS but the county is supposedly going to handle. We will need to ensure they get it taken care of in a timely manner. Laura Potash had secured the essentially free work from a commercial business to fix the problem – cost would end up being under $300 total. If the drainage problem is fixed by the county in a timely fashion, then the club wants to purchase recycling bins and a sound system and plants for the school…maybe a TV for the regular cafeteria. A brick sale fundraiser is also being considered to replace Fashionata. Carol Perdoni suggested a Mr. McIntosh contest, which everyone seemed to like (but without the swimsuit portion!)
- LANDSCAPING WORK DAY TODAY!!!!
- Night Meeting: The topic of PTC Police & Golf Cart/Cart Path Safety Issues was suggested & approved; the date will be worked on for October.
- Courtyard Drainage Problem: Still waiting on a reply from the county but Laura Potash will approach Mike Satterfield to see if her commercial contact can do it because they’d get it done by the end of the month.
- Brick Sale: As a Student Club fundraiser was discussed
- Budget: The McIntosh High School 2009-2010 budget was unanimously approved
- Partners In Education (PIE) Breakfast: Fri, 25 Sept, 9am, cafeteria, a sign - up sheet was passed around for helpers
- Yearbook: Concerns over the Lifetouch & Fayette County BOE contract rumors were discussed, PTSO has offered assistance to the yearbook advisor.
- Macys: Shop for a Cause was introduced
- Golf Cart Safety: It was suggested that a test over the rules, regulations and safety should be passed in order to be permitted to drive a golf cart
