General Membership Minutes, 5 May 2009
- Mary Margaret Bivings is going to be the Principal at Kedron Elementary
- Prom was a success
- The varsity boys soccer team is in the semi finals
- The teachers are enjoying Teacher Appreciation Week
- 2009-2010 personnel changes consist of 2 Special Ed teachers,1 English teacher, 2 Math teachers, 2 Fine Arts teachers and Science teacher
- There will be changes in graduation requirements for the 2009-2010 school year
- The Class of 2009 left a beautiful mural in the Gym
- May 15th is Volunteer Appreciation Day
- Dan Lane gave a brief explanation of Infinite Campus the new integrated student information system that will be used in the Fayette County School system
Treasurer's Report: Discussed PTSO income & expenditures for April
- Appropriations: No report but the possibility of hand dryers was discussed
- Bulletin Board: Check it out: MHS is last in the state for students in need of college remedial classes
- Fashionata: Kathleen Oelberg volunteered to chair this committee next year
- Front Office: 2009-2010 Volunteer Positions have been filled, only subs are needed every now and then. ALL MHS volunteers need to log in their vol. hours when signing in/out
- Hospitality: Honors Night went well, Last Day of School Teacher Dinner will be catered by Café Pig at 5:15
- Landscaping: Eagle Scout project is still waiting for final approval, the outdoor classroom is in need of landscaping
- School Store: Inventory is winding down for the year but will continue to supply water for the students to purchase
- Spiritwear: Extra Spirit Packs have been ordered for the Freshman Fair

- Teacher Appreciation Week: May 3-9
- Accident Avoidance Workshop: Dates are being coordinated for the Fall and informational brochures will go home in the first day of school packets. For more information contact Diana Roman 678-364-0310 romandj@mindspring.com
- Student Club: Incentive drawings will take place on Wednesday, May 13 at the final student club meeting of the year.
- New Business
- 2009-2010 PTSO Committee Chairs are needed for following committees:
- PTSO Volunteer Appreciation Brunch: Will be held at Anne Houston’s home, 842 Carnellian Lane (in Kedron Hillls) on Wednesday, May 20th at 10:00 am
- Hospitality Closet: A clean-up day will be announced to clean up & take inventory of all the Hospitality Committees supplies in the concession room across from the auditorium.
- Budget: Incentives for good behavior, perfect attendance and zero tardies will be considered when preparing the 2009-2010 budget, based on recommendations from the administration
