Junior Information Night – October 1, 2009 – 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.
Scholarships: Scholarship information is posted on the website www.mcintoshhigh.com --we hope you find this listing helpful.  Please use the websites listed to obtain further information.  If the listing indicates that a nomination is needed, come by Guidance to pick up the Nomination Form to complete and return to Guidance. Feel free to contact your guidance counselor if you need assistance. Mrs. Huey is this year’s contact for scholarships.
 
On-Campus College Visits: Come by Guidance to sign-up in the On-Campus Visit book, complete the form for a pass, and pick up a handout. These visits are for senior and juniors only. Remember no passes will be issued the day of the visit. Only three visits per student per year, so choose wisely!

Order Transcripts in Guidance, cost is $3.00 ea —and will be available in THREE school days after ordering. Transcripts can now be ordered on line at www.GAcollege411.org. Click on Sign In at top of home page, enter: Account Name & Password, click on College Planning, scroll to Applications and Transcripts. Go to Request & Track your Transcript (Review the information on this page for accuracy). Choose the college where you would like to send your transcript. Click Continue. You can check where you have sent your transcripts by clicking on History (Upper Left Corner).

Covenant College will have preview weekends October 1-3, 2009 and April 15-17. 2010. This is an opportunity to sit in on classes, worship in chapel, tour the campus, audition for music scholarships and much more. Register online at www.covenant.edu/preview.
 
MIT – Massachusetts Institute of Technology will have an information session in the Atlanta area at the Greater Atlanta Christian School, Fine Art Theater, 1575 Indian Trail Road, Norcross. The event will be October 4, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. 
 
Georgia Southern University will have Open House on November 21, 2009, February 6, 2010 and March 27

IMPORTANT INFORMATION OF NEW CREDIT AND CREDIT RECOVERY
 
New Credit – No more than 1 credit may be obtained per semester. Limit of 2 credits may count toward graduation from a Fayette County Public School. The two credits are for the entire high school career, including summer.
 
Credit Recovery – No limit.
 
A permission form MUST be obtained from your counselor prior to enrolling in a course.
