On-Campus College Visits: Come by Guidance to sign-up in the On-Campus Visit book, complete the form for a pass, and pick up a handout. These visits are for senior and juniors only. Remember no passes will be issued the day of the visit. Only three visits per student per year, so choose wisely!

Order Transcripts in Guidance, cost is $3.00 ea —and will be available in THREE school days after ordering. Transcripts can now be ordered on line at www.GAcollege411.org. Log on or create an account, click on “My 411”, choose “My Transcripts” on the left menu. Verify or update information, click ”Update info and continue” button. Select destination schools (use CTRL and click to select multiple schools if you choose to send to more that one). Enable automatic release of future versions. Click “Release Transcript” button. A confirmation will be presented. Recipient Post Secondary Institution(s) will be listed with release date. After the Post Secondary Institution downloads the transcript, a date will be displayed. Log off.

The 2008 – 09 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) paper forms will no longer be available through schools. Students can obtain a paper FAFSA by calling the Federal Student Aid Information Center at 1-800-433-3243. Students may request up to three copies of the paper application and should receive their FAFSA in three to seven business days. A PDF version of the FAFSA will be available for download on various Federal Student Aid web sites such as www.FederalStudentAid.ed.gov. Students can access the PDF, complete the forms on the computer or by hand and mail it to the address provided for processing.
Reinhardt College will host The Way College Should Be. The high school junior date is Saturday, April 19, 2008. Preview Georgia Tech is a comprehensive visitation program that provides a thorough look at the academic offerings, student services, activities and facilities. Virginia Tech’s College of Engineering invites rising high school junior and senior girls to participate in a Computers and Technology program. The program is designed for females interested in engineering and the sciences. The program will be held June 29 – July 12, 2008. For more information visit the website at www.ctech2.eng.vt.edu.
The Construction Education Foundation of Georgia is hosting a Career Expo April 24th and 25th at the Gwinnett County Fairgrounds in Lawrenceville. This is a unique opportunity to visit the state’s largest construction, architecture and engineering career fair. For more information, visit www.cefga.org.
Georgia Southern University invites high school senior girls and their parents to attend their Sorority Open House, Sunday, April 13th from 2 – 4:00 p.m. on Olympic Boulevard. This event will allow interested girls to meet each of the sororities, ask questions, tour the houses and learn about the recruitment process. If you have questions, call 912-681-5185.
The Georgia Congressional Delegation will host Academy Day on Saturday, May 10, 2008 from 1:00-3:00 PM. This is an event to familiarize students and their parents with the Service Academies application and nomination process and to expose them to academy life. Representatives from all five academies as well as cadets and midshipmen will be in attendance. Reservations must be made by contacting Academy Director, Nancy Brooks at 770-661-0999 or by registering online at http:isakson.senate.gov/academies.html. The registration deadline is May 2, 2008 at 5:00 PM. The event will be held at Dobbins Air Reserve Base, 1408 Dobbins Place. Benedict College will host its Spring Open House Saturday, April 12, 2008 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 noon. Lunch will be provided for all Open House guest immediately following the program. A sign up sheet is available in the Guidance Office.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION ON NEW CREDIT AND CREDIT RECOVERY
New Credit – No more than 1 credit may be obtained per semester. Limit of 2 credits may count toward graduation from a Fayette County Public School. The two credits are for the entire high school career, including summer.
Credit Recovery – No limit.A permission form MUST be obtained from your counselor prior to enrolling in a course.

- Call the AP collegeboard at 1-888-225-5427.
- After the menu options’ recording is completed, wait on the line to speak with a customer service representative.
- Tell the representative that you’re with to have your AP scores sent to a college/university. The McIntosh school code is 112360. The representative may ask you for this code.
- Cost: Advanced rush delivery (scores are mailed within 2 business days) is $25. Regular delivery (scores are mailed within 5 business days) is $15. You can pay by credit card over the phone.
