Students and their families who are new to McIntosh are invited to join us for pizza and salad on this evening. You will meet other new families, learn more about McIntosh clubs and sports, and make some new friends! Combined Serious Stuff for Seniors/Just for Juniors September 2, 2010

This evening is targeted for parents of students who are Juniors and Seniors this year AND their junior and senior students. We will have a multi-part program. One part of the program will focus on the many items that Junior and Senior students need to accomplish as they pursue their post-secondary educational choices. New Student Luncheon September 17, 2010
This event is for new-to-McIntosh students with the exception of rising 9th graders from our feeder schools. Counselors will provide dessert during all three lunch periods as students eat with us, chat about how the transition to a new school is going, and meet other new students. Students will receive an invitation during school for this event.
PROBE Fair @ Sandy Creek High School September 30 , 2010

Over 100 colleges will be present at Sandy Creek High School for an informational fair on admission procedures, campus life, course offerings, and much more! Please don’t miss it! This is for the whole family.
PSAT October 16, 2010
The Preliminary SAT will be administered on Saturday this year. The PSAT is a great way to practice for the SAT, and results are used to determine possible placement in Advanced Placement courses. Juniors are strongly encouraged to take the PSAT as this is the only way to qualify for the National Merit Scholarship. Combined Sophomore/Freshmen January 13, 2011
Information Night 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm
The final evening parenting program will focus on strategies to help your Sophomore/and or Freshmen student make the most of his/her high school career. We will review study skill strategies, discuss course selection, and introduce you to the Georgia Career Information System and GeorgiaCollege411, both of which provide a wealth of information on career options, test taking, post-secondary institutions, etc.
Special Courses Night January 13, 2011
(including AP courses) 6:45 – 9:00 pm
Come and learn about all courses which require an application for enrollment, including Advanced Placement courses at McIntosh. Teachers will be available to explain the application process and course content.
National College Fair Feruary 13, 2011
Georgia International Convention Center
12 noon - 4 pm
The national college fair features hundreds of colleges and universities from across the nation. Representatives will be available to answer questions about the application process, scholarships available, planning time lines and much more. Electives Fair February 15, 2011
