Combined Sophomore/Freshmen Information Night
January 12, 2012 - 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm
The final evening parenting program will focus on strategies to help your Sophomore and/or Freshman student make the most of his/her high school career. We will review study skill strategies, discuss course selection, and introduce you to the Georgia Career Information System and Georgiacollege411, both of which provide a wealth of information on career options, test taking, post-secondary institutions, etc.

Come and learn about all courses which require an application for enrollment, including Advanced Placement courses at McIntosh. Teachers will be available to explain the application process and course content. Don’t miss this important evening!!
Financial Aid Night
January 24, 2012 - 6:30 pm
This evening is targeted for all parents, but especially for parents of junior and senior students.
A representative from the Georgia Student Finance Commission will explain the financial aid process, including the HOPE scholarship, HOPE Grant, and deadlines to remember. Please mark your calendars now.
National College Fair - Georgia World Conference Center
February 12, 2012 - 12 noon - 4 pm
The national college fair features hundreds of colleges and universities from across the nation. Representatives will be available to answer questions about the application process, scholarships available, planning time lines and much more. Get the full information later in the fall at

Electives Fair
March 5, 2012 - 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM
Many elective classes will be on display on this evening to allow students to learn more about the course before enrollment begins for the next year's classes. More information will follow on the MHS website.
