The School

McIntosh High School is a comprehensive four-year high school with an enrollment of over 1700 students in grades nine through twelve. McIntosh High School is proudly named after Chief William McIntosh,a great leader of the Creek Indians who were among the most influential American Indian tribes in this nation. Curriculum
Georgia has joined with 29 other states in the American Diploma Project (ADP) Network, an effort led by Achieve, Inc. to raise expectations and achievement in American high schools so that virtually all students graduate with the knowledge and skills they need to be successful in college and the workplace and that many more students succeed in college once enrolled.

The school year is divided into two semesters with each semester having two nine-week grading periods. Each class day consists of 6 periods, approximately 55 minutes in length, with 7 minutes between periods. Each semester course passed carries one-half (.5) Carnegie unit of credit.  Click HERE to download detailed course descriptions.
